MODERNISATION
Modernise the workflow before replacing every legacy system.
An old website, customised ERP, departmental CRM or desktop database may still carry essential business rules. Modernisation should expose and improve the workflow while controlling migration risk.
Map the work and ownership
Identify the trigger, accountable team, records, interfaces, permissions and failure paths. Separate the useful business rule from the ageing interface that currently contains it.
Place governed interfaces around the estate
Use supported APIs, database views, file exchanges or controlled automation to create a bounded connector layer. New web, mobile, agent and reporting experiences can use that layer without receiving unrestricted legacy access.
Replace in measured stages
Move one workflow at a time, compare outcomes, preserve reconciliation and maintain rollback. Retire components only after the new path proves its data, control and operational requirements.
